#sketches: Hiroshige’s “Gion Shrine in snow, 1834”

I drew Hiroshige’s “Gion Shrine in snow, 1834”, a lovely winter illustration of Kyoto.

I made this on iPad mini again. I made the contours using ArtRage, and painted it with Sketches App.

I spent 3 to 5 hours every day for the contours during three days, and 5 hours tonight painting. I was stuck on painting with Artrage for so long that I returned to Sketches for the colouring. So I lost the custom size of ArtRage (twice as big); oh well…

Update 2014-04-08: check out the big (2048 x 1536 px) version made with ArtRage.
